Community Business Series: Business Plan Basics

Ages 15+. Great for folks looking to start a side business!

Whether you are writing a plan to pitch your start up to a venture capitalist or evaluating the direction of your present company, business plans are the entrepreneur's best friend. When smartly created, a business plan can help you communicate your ideas to interested investors, bring focus to the growth of your business, and inspire you to create, build, and achieve more.

This class will teach the basics of both writing a full plan for a new business and a condensed directional plan for already established ventures. You'll walk away knowing:

- How to use a business plan as a tool for growth

- How to write your plan for the best impact on your audience (private investors, banks, or yourself!)

- The components of a business plan: Where should you focus and what you should skip

- Simple steps for professional formatting and presentation

This course takes place SUNDAY, OCTOBER 2nd from 3-6pm and includes two hours of content with one hour of discussion following. Participants will leave with original spiral-bound coursework complete with content from actual business plans. Course size is limited to 10 participants and cost is $27 preregistered before Sept 15th, $45 post.
